This card has two main variants, one which has the wavetable headers but no SB-Link header, and one which has the SB-Link header and no wavetable header.

Why, I do not know.

Is there any reason why adding an SB-Link header to my card would not work? The PCBs are basically identical, so unless there is a limitation on the ESS Solo-1 chip that doesn't allow for using SB-Link and a Wavetable daughterboard together, I think this should be safe..

But before I proceed, has anyone done this?

Did add a SB-Link header to one of my TTSOLO1 cards and it worked just fine.

I'm curious to hear how compatible the ES1938 is with PC/PCI equipped P4 boards.

Interesting. Competition for YMF-PCI cards?
