Hello folks.

I bought a sound blaster PCI card some time ago and I can't quite identify the model for it.

The printed model name is CT 4760 and it was sold as "Sound Blaster Live!". The chip on it reads "EMU10k1-NEF".
That's where the confusion starts. Some pages claim that it is a "Sound Blaster Live! Value", or "Live! Platinum", or "Live! 5.1" but there is lots of wrong information.

I tried installing the universal Live! driver from the creative website. But my Windows 2k instantly freezes while installing. I also tried some original driver cd's for the "Live! value". Installs just fine but keeps freezing randomly after.

The PC I used is not the problem. Ran with an older sound blaster just fine, but had to replace it.

I think I just need the right driver. Can anyone identify the exact model for this card?
