Hello everyone,
I've come across this Roland card that is totally unknown to me:
http://www.pcang.com/roland_vd-525at.htm
Does anyone know what the hell is it?

Fortex, the A3D & XG/OPL3 accelerator (Vortex 2 + YMF744 combo sound card)
AWE64 Legacy

Better photo: http://www.yjfy.com/museum/sound/VD-525AT.htm

FCC ID is from 1996: https://fccid.io/DKDVD-525AT

Japanese FAQ: http://faq-jp.roland.com/category/search?keyw … =%22dtv-525n%22

after some googling, it is probably isnt MIDI card but video system.

I found different card Roland DESK TOP VIDEO SYSTEM VD-505N with same main chip Roland R00450356 HG62G019R42F:

What special slot is it?
It is a PC-98 slot?

Yes, that's a card for a NEC PC-98 system.

Both cards likely are part of Roland's video editing hardware line-up (see also Roland Video Canvas).

Well, maybe it can be used to capture video, but you'll have to figure out which software and drivers were used and whether there was any additional external hardware required.
