I got the first Aureal vortex model AU8820B2. How this card is compatible for DOS? People only talks about the Aureal vortex 2. I want to give this card to my friend. He intended to use on the motherboard ASUS TUV 4x v 1.01.

Retro rig 1: Asus CUV4X, VIA c3 800, Voodoo Banshee (Diamond fusion) and SB32 ct3670.
Retro rig 2: Intel DX2 66, SB16 Ct1740 and Cirrus Logic VLB.

Under DOS they shold be comparable, the reason people prefer Vortex 2 AU8830 is the support for A3D 2.0 under Windows.
