The ESS Tech (3MB) software synth came with my Terratec 128i and the S-YXG50 (4MB) came with my Terratec 512i. Can anyone give me a brief comparison of the two and a recommendation on which one to go with? The system will be PIII-1000B and 512MB RAM.

I suspect the ESS synth is using the enhanced ESFM OPL instruments. I don't have my ESS cards installed right now so I can't remember how the synth sounds.
