Hello,

Please help identify the Vibra16S sound card with DXP44Q OPL3 clone. There is a problem with playing FM music. I am looking for the "right" drivers.

There seems to be little information about this card in general.

The only thing I could find out is that it MAY just be a small form factor / low-profile version of the MediaForte SF16-FMP-03, which utilized the same revision of the 16S chips as well as the DXP44Q.
Question is still why the FM isnt working, as IIRC these cards do not need any special drivers loaded in DOS for OPL Synthesis.

A Russian chap on this site seemd to have run into the same problem as you I guess, according to Google translate, but I think - if translated correctly - that this issue hasnt been resolved for him/her.

It also fits the description - if correct - of this one:

SF16-FMP (SoundForte RadioPlus) - 16 BIT ISA, Creative Technology, CD-ROM interface, game port, IDE interface, Vibra 16S CT2504-TCQ, DXP44Q, Philips TEA5712T

The crucial point here is that is uses dual LS245 chips.

Interesting point is - how signals between ISA bus and this OPL3 clone chip are routed ?
In my case "scratch and his" from OPL3 clone was caused by broken 74LS245 (or it was LS244 ?) chip between those two.

I've got exactly the same card you posted. Unisound is able to configure it as a non PNP card.
