Hello everyone, I'm new!
I just recovered a Thinkpad A21E and wanted to use it for retrogaming in pure DOS, but I can't find drivers or settings for audio around the internet.

According to thinkwiki (http://thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:A21e) the laptop has an "Intel AC'97 Audio with a CS4299 codec"

Do you have experiences with this laptop?
I thank in advance who will give me even an answer!

Welcome to the forum. 😀

Apparently, the CS4299, also used in the T23, has no DOS support:

Strange and annoying, considering that other A21/A22 series laptops had the CS4621, which does have DOS support. 🙁

It's really a pity, because the laptop was really perfect, all it needed was audio ...

thx dr_st.
