maybe a silly question since I already tested it but I figured I'd ask anyway to double check. I have a Roland SC-55 midi module (not the MK-II) and it only has the GS logo on it but NOT a General Midi logo as i've seen on most other SC-55's. I've tested the module with both general midi and sound canvas options in a few games and it seemed to sound just fine (but I'm no expert on midi). if a device supports GS is it automatically general midi compatible? is there a difference between SC-55's that have a GM logo and those without?

Bonus question: What's anyone's opinion on the MT-120s? It seems to be more or less an SC-55 with an internal speaker and a floppy drive. Just as good for playing games? better?

You'll want to read this thread.
Apparently not all GS-only sc-55s are the same, some are GM
