I got one of these cards but on the chip it says "Vortex" NOT VORTEX"2"
but the model below the chip says AU8830

so i have no clue if this card is a vortex1 or a vortex2 because this is not supposed to be like that

AU8830 is supposed to be vortex2
and AU8820 is supposed to be vortex1

if it is a vortex2 why does the chip only say "vortex"?

AU8830 is the important bit
Vortex is just the marketing name. Maybe you got an early chip before they decided to go with 2 rather then Vortex Extreme or if owned by Microsoft Vortex -1 as they have no idea how numbering works 😜
