In my book, the whole point of CD-ROM controllers on the sound cards was already obsolete in the 486 era, let alone more modern systems. So nope, no interest in that and no PCB budget for that.

It's been a while since I took something from the motherland.
Bring it on.
Can't wait any longer.

OK thanks. Makes sense, I was just asking.
Personally I kinda disagree on this for 486 systems, but I get your point.

No, the bracket is attached to the gameport and the line-in jack.

No, you won't damage it, however the only part that will work is the HardMPU controller.
I strongly doubt that CT8920 will work in any mode in the XT-Bus, and though the Resound OPL3 part will be working, its analog output is hardwired into the CT8920, so without starting up the latter, you won't get any sound.

My 486 and original AWE32 died, so I am waiting for this to put in my Pentium III system which will use Mo'Slo Deluxe to emulate 486 speeds. I haven't done any retro gaming at all since finding out about this project; waiting in anticipation!
I also hope that the 86box team can emulate this card someday.

Saving my pennies for one of these. It will be the perfect soundcard for my AMD K5 system. Can't wait! (As I said in a past post)

A lot of people are excited about this project (me included!). This card would cover most of my needs for DOS games.
Unfortunately I don't think supply will meet demand (like most things these day). I hope the developers take that into account when they decide on a price.
