So the Leading Edge 386 computer I bought that had an SCC-1 in it also came with some audio/midi authoring software.

I'll have to double check what all is on there but 2 of the ones I looked at were:
Final Cut - dos
Trax - Windows 3.x

Not finding any mention of these anywhere.
Anybody here familiar with either?

These should be put somewhere, it would be very interesting to see what things were like back then ~

upload them never heard of them. Final Cut sounds interesting I wonder if thats the ancestor to the Apple Final Cut.

Fairly sure Apple didn't worry so much about developing DOS applications 😈

Yeah, I'll copy them off and upload them - probably to archive.org

There is more than just those two.

The two I already mentioned:
The Final Cut 3.00 - by Legend Software Systems - exclusively distributed by MIDI Land Inc.
Trax v2.21 - by Passport Designs, Inc.

and
Cakewalk 5.0
Template (by Judy S. Kravitz) It is a program that apparently is used to output a midi file to a dot matrix printer that also punches holes in the paper for some type of player instrument.. maybe an organ? But it requires a Rainbow Key parallel port dongle to run. 😢

There is also a program on there called "CWEEP" v2.14
It is some sort of file management program for DOS.
I'll upload it as well.

A player piano. The roll is held on two spools surrounding a bunch of intake valves, and you pump pedals (that run bellows) to make it play.
Good quality rolls are pretty rare these days because a) paper doesn't last forever and b) the tracking guide wires like to chew them up.

I contacted the seller and they still had the dongle.

So now I have the dongle on the way! 😀 😀 😀
