hello everyone,

i recently got an 5MVP4 (lucky star i think) motherboard from ebay but it only has the VGA breakout cable. i was able to cut up a PS2 connector and attach it to the respective pins but that's it. here's the only reference material i found on the board:
http://www.motherboard.cz/mb/luckystar/5MVP4.htm

and here's the manual (which doesn't really help in this case):
http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/luckystar/manual … 4/5mvp4_v10.pdf

does anyone know of any reference material for the audio pinout or maybe have an audio breakout cable?

thanks in advance,
bamdad

Hi,

Do you have a multimeter?

First of all find a ground pin (there's probably more than one) by measuring continuity between the pins of the connector and one of the ground pins in the ATX power connector.

Then play music or some test signals and start looking for left and right channel line out... but for this it would be better to have an oscilloscope...

With some patience it should be possible to figure out at least the the audio part of the connector.

good idea, but obviously this will be my last option since the pins are in a really hard to reach spot and this is a lot of trial and error. i'm hoping someone has already done it or has the specifications for the board.

thanks for suggesting though. :)
