Hi fellow audiophiles,

I have a Compaq LTE 4/50CX with no sound card. Found an Audigy 2 ZS (PCMCIA) listing ending soon. Any idea if this card would work under Windows 95? (Or did people just live with no sound in the 90s? 😮)

I tried googling "audigy 2 zs PCMCIA driver" for you...

The first hit was the official Creative support page which lists drivers, the oldest OS being Windows XP. No driver for Win 9x.

The third hit happened to be an existing thread in Vogons where the it seems the conclusion was that it doesn't work in Windows 98.

I would expect that this product won't work in Windows 95. Perhaps an older PCMCIA card might work. Someone has made a pretty extensive list here:
