I would look for corroded traces on the main board since the caps were leaking. I'm dealing with the same kind of problem on my SC-88 but it actually boots but doesn't play any sound from the synth.

The memory diag shows to check a bunch of stuff but, upon closer inspection, there is a bunch of corrosion on the main board from the leaky capacitors so I am going to work on fixing that and then hopefully it works.

Yeah.. i did a bit of that.. beeped out a few tracks to make sure they were OK.. But nothing changed. The leaks were only around the bottom of the caps... they hadn't spread everywhere yet...

If someone has a SC-88 PRO and they want to dump the Program ROM for me. Its IC 26. Socketed. And should be dumped as a ST M27C800 eprom. I have checked the pin out between the SC-88 PRO tech manual and the 27C800 datasheet. And they are a 100% match.

I have tested the Reset Line.. and its working fine. Reflowed ALL the Sram.. no change. Some one else must have seen it??

It's not just the screen that has become partially disconnected, is it?

No.. cause when i press the volume button. it should play a sound in my headphones. It does nothing when i press it. So the unit isn't running. Good idea though 😀
