I built i80486 system. And decided to put in there underpowered (for that system) Sound Blaster 2.0, but that's oldest system after 8088 build I have, where I prefer other sound card.
So the question is - where to get at least Mixer for Windows 95? Is it possible? How to manage levels? like Line in level? Is it possible to use Windows application from SB Pro/16?
There is no even Mixer for Windows 95 for Sound Blaster
P.S. I like to see CMS and FM on one card. And happy to put it in finally!

The Sound Blaster 2.0 does not have a hardware mixer (so there can be no software mixer control), the first card to have one was the Sound Blaster Pro and, AFAICR, there is no way to adjust line-in level on the Sound Blaster 2.0 . Additionally, the sound card is noisy, mono and can only record at around 15KHz in 8-bit . Also, if I recall correctly (not 100% sure), the analogue inputs cannot be passed to the card's output . Output volume control is only possible through the volume control potentiometer on the back of the card .

Windows applications that work with 8-bit mono sound cards will work . I have no idea whether any Windows applications bundled with newer Sound Blaster cards will work or not .

Thank you! Wow! just wow. I have not had any experience in my life with pre-SB 16 card or SB-pro clones, like ESS. I bought SB 2.0 for CMS thing, I don't like OPL2 either 😀
By the way on top of what you said it's not mpu-401 compatible either... so for wavetable I need to refer only to SBMIDI 220h... I guess, haven't tried though, but definitely failed on passing 330h to Roland. But again, I have so many sound cards, just wanted to see CMS and SB on one card.
