I see a few SB Pro 2 card drivers posted over at the Vogons Driver library. But I have no idea if any are what I need.

I'm also not sure if I have to install drivers in Win98SE and DOS seperately, or if I only need to install drivers in windows.

Help would be MUCH appreciated.

It is not a plug and play card I believe. So you must manually install the card in win98, using the "Add new hardware wizard". For DOS you need to set the BLASTER variable: https://retronn.de/imports/soundblaster_config_guide.html

There were never any kind of drivers to find for the SB Pro 2 in Windows 9x, adding it with "Add New Hardware Wizard" will configure the sound card and no drivers are really needed in DOS for initializing it, just setting BLASTER environment variable works. However the DOS software that comes with the SB Pro 2 floppy disks is needed to adjust the mixer in DOS and for certain games.

I appreciate the help fellas. I never owned a PC back in the day. Part of the reason I'm into it now. Always wanted one. But sound cards are my Kryptonite.

So I guess I need to locate this Soundblaster Pro 2 software.
