If you happen to be using Daniel K's drivers with Audigy 2 ZS under Windows XP, could you please check whether it offers "Sw Synth" MIDI out port in addition to Synth A & B? (See the attached picture)

just google Daniel K divers should be the first thing that comes up. basically he made modded versions of the audigy and x-fi drivers that are better then the official ones creative released.
