The chips in the picture are TSOP, despite it saying SOJ on the item description.
I can recommend the NEC uPD424260 chips, those are nice standard SOJ-40 DRAM chips, it should just work with any FPM 256Kx16 SOJ-40
I was able to use similar chips, the v53c16258 with the later GuS PNP: Upgrading Philips PCA761AW / AMD Interwave 'GuS Clone' to 1MB RAM

Thanks. I realized that after checking a Ultrasound Max memory upgrade manual I found on Archive.org as well as looking at the socket on the card itself.

So I decided to traverse my "e-waste" and found an upgraded PCI S3 Virge/DX that had chips that appeared to fit the bill. And it did. Popped one in, passed memory sets in the GUS Max software and was able to play a few good rounds of "Death Rally" with GUS sound (the game requires 1MB of memory on the GUS to use the sound). Works perfectly!

I have three more now if I ever run across three more GUS's to upgrade....🤣!
