I can't get Compose and Playrec to run on my 486 DX33.

If i remember correctly i encountered a similar problem - the Playrec and Compose did not start on my 386 machine. As a result, it started only on a clone of the XT motherboard with a processor frequency of 4.7 MHz. I think this is a problem with delays based on loops in the software.

Thanks for the info. I don’t have anything slower than a 386 here. Will try to down clock that and see how it goes. Or stick to games.

If you keep building, this could maybe solve it 😉

I will probably build one more card for myself, that leaves me with 3 more bare PCBs and some parts in case anyone is looking to build one.

Maybe I'm a bit slow, but has the design been finalized/known-good? If so, I'm definitely up for one, although looking at your Chicago location it might be more expensive to ship across the Atlantic than order new PCBs myself...

I don't know if the current design is final.
Shipping for just the PCB is probably not worth it, however I did order 5 of all of the less common/old components and can also share a mouser project for the common ones if anyone is interested.

It is. Scg's goal was to make the exact replica - that's it. As exact as possbile.

I'm almost done with my build
Thanks a lot @SCG for sharing the project!

Cool, cool.

I am still waiting for the tester as I'm using mostly components from AliExpress. The logic chips are all good but I need to check more complex ones and especially memory.

Tnx. Then I'm going to get building 😀 - using florian3's spares if shipping across the Atlantic makes sense, otherwise I'll source stuff myself.
