Today I dug out the pile of sound cards under the bed. They have been there for almost twenty years. It feels like I'm 30 years old again 😀
I find a card that's a bit special. I can't find the brand, and there's an interface I don't recognize on the top of it, with 40 pins - what is it used to connect to?

What a strange thing indeed !
It looks like the top connector has a lot of signals from the ISA side connected to it, but what is it really for I wouldn't know...

I have seen similar weird sound cards based on the vibra16s.
For example this thing:

It is for a siemens nixdorf FD210 All in one system.

Judging from the strange bracket on your card, it seems it came from a special application / integrated system.

All that via stitching is impressive. Someone was serious about suppressing stray voltages.

All hail the Great Capacitor Brand Finder

Even stranger, that’s 80 pins… The numbers on the card look like Acer part codes but Google doesn’t turn up anything.
