found an unopened sound card under the bed. I have forgotten where it came from.
I decided not to dismantle it yet and wait until my MMX166 platform is built.
Looking at the box, it should be a card with ISA interface and ESS chip, produced around 1997?

I just checked under my bed and found an old sock. I was hoping for a sound card )-:

You should return that sock before you make the sock gremlin mad and it steals all your other socks.

One must always pay the sock tax.

hahaha:)
Do you know why I stack sound cards under the bed?Because my wife hates these things and vows to throw them away one day.
So, I put these things in my old house, of course, only under the bed, along with the smelly socks 😀

If it has both ESFM and real OPL3 then its not a bad card to keep hold of.

i will check it out some day

Just wish it had an OPL3 in it.

Yesterday I found two OPL2s under my bed. Does that count?

Not in a sock but in a static protection thingy, fortunately. I'd been soldering a bit earlier this week and tipped my spare chip box. I thought I'd found everything but clearly I missed those OPLs 😜

As for this card- let's see it rather than just the box. All too often what's in the box doesn't correspond to what's on it.

I have a very similar one boxed, but mine is an ES1868. Probably the best SB clone in my pile.

Those notes look like they're racing one another to the, er, big golden egg thing. Breeding a new standard in audio excellence?
