I just got this on eBay:

The listing I got it from claims it's an FX 5900 Ultra but the seller wasn't 100% (in fact I found his Reddit post trying to get info on it from a month ago) because he doesn't have the hardware to be certain. Based on the data I've been able to look up (looking at things like capacitor layouts) I'm inclined to say it is but what do you think? In the very least I'd say it's certifiably an FX 5900, if not an Ultra, based on the cooler design.

These are the pics he took of the back:

I wasn't sure if these were the model, though. I was trying to make an association via eyeballing it.

Why not plug it in and see what shows up? Assuming you have it in hand.

I only ordered it tonight but seeing as the guy I bought it from wasn't entirely sure I figured I'd run it by some seasoned pros. I personally bought it under the assumption it's going to be an FX 5900 of some kind.

It sure looks like a 5900 ultra. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce … 5900-ultra.c704

I think the quadrant version of that pcb has a black connector in the top left, you can see where it would be on your board but the component isn’t there.

That's FX5900 card.

Aeolus was an AOpen brand, if sticker is original.

Yeah, the original listing did mention AOpen. I couldn't find much on it when I tried looking it up (I found an FX 5900 XT from AOpen but it had a different cooler so it definitely wasn't the same card).

Here's a brief press piece from 2003, showing this card with the same sticker and calling it an Ultra.

Sweet. I was having trouble finding this exact sticker, just a lot of cards that had the same cooler and cap layout but different decals.

GeForce FX 5900 were made from cutting half of video memory and slight underclock. This card has only 128 Mb, so it's not Ultra.

The layout looks like Aeolus FX5950Ultra-DVC256 but with the cooler of the Aeolus FX5900-DV128 and Aeolus FX5900ULTRA-DVC256

To bring this saga to an end, I can confirm it's a vanilla FX 5900. Not sure what that means in terms of potential but it should still be able to punch around the weight of a GeForce4 Ti 4600, I'm assuming.

It's similar to the 4600 in terms of cores, but should be about a third faster. 400 MHz as opposed to 300 on the 4600 for reference clock speeds. Memory bandwidth should be almost 3 times the speed.
