I cannot figure this out; I disabled vsync in the nvidia control panel/settings , but my Geforce 2 Pro refuses to run above 75FPS; which is refresh rate of the monitor. I have confirmed that my Voodoo 3 3000 and Voodoo 5 5500 cards have no issue going above 75FPS in games; I have tried the latest drivers for the Geforce 2 as well as several older ones back to 2000 and 2003; same issue. Does anyone know a fix for this please?

specs: Pentium III 1Ghz/512MB RAM/Windows 98SE

I've had this issue with particular driver versions. Which did you use? Can you try a later one?

RivaTuner. The answer is always RivaTuner.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

If that does not work, you are doing it wrong. Disabling vsync in rivatuner always works with nvida cards and most ati.

Builds:

Xp3000+ gf3 ti200 + vd2 SLI 12MB + 768MB + SB live @ WinXP & 98 Dualboot.

P2 350mhz + Diamond Viper V550 + 3Dfx Voodoo 2 12MB + AWE64 + 128MB SDR @ msdos / win98.

I went all the way back to detonator drivers and with those; disabling vsync actually took effect.

Later drivers were the problem; going back to old detonator drivers allowed disabling vsync to actually work.
