I'm looking to find out the type of a specific diode marked D615 on the back side of the card, in the corner near the label. It might work without this but I'd still like to fix it properly after I recap the card - all three 1000uF 6.3V caps have failed. The closest diode is marked L42 but I can't be sure it's the same.

There is a video of PixelPipes on YouTube where he changes a couple of caps on what seems to be the same exact card. So when increased the resolution, and stopping the video just at the right time you can almost see what the value is. I believe is L42 like you said. See attached photo

I haven't heard back from you so I'm putting the donor card back into storage.
Looking at the datasheet of that IC (a voltage regulator) it looks like that diode should be a schottky diode.
Googling the "L42 shottky" finds the BAT54A part, and the number shows the arrangement of individual diodes inside the package: https://pdf1.alldatasheet.net/datasheet-pdf/v … WTE/BAT54A.html
Not that I'm saying "it is L42" though 😀

Same issue, diode is missing and the three swollen caps replaced 😀
