Heya,

Thought I'd post this, recently picked up a Voodoo Rush (Procomp model G105_11) It had leaky capacitors and no added ram chips, so I replaced the caps with new SMD components and I also managed to find the exact same ram chips in China.

Not sure if it works yet, I'll have to test it out soon.

Man, you guys are brave trying to solder RAM chips onto boards like this. I'm not sure I'd have the cajones to even attempt that. I'd be afraid of damaging/ruining these relatively expensive old cards that nobody makes anymore.

Good job fixing the card with the bad caps. That, at least, I might have attempted. But I had trouble doing a re-cap of one of my old motherboards so I paid a guy in another state to do it for me and he did GOOD work. It's working like it's brand-new. But it was expensive. Like, over $100 expensive. I don't remember even paying that much for the board when it was brand new. (That's probably why the caps went bad in the first place.)

He is not soldering the RAM - there are empty sockets. 😀

Really? Then nevermind. He's not as brave as I thought he was. 🤣
