I've found myself walking away from my old Tandy too many times, end up leaving a dosprompt up there for a day or two sometimes. Is there a simple DOS screen blanking app or screensaver app, that is TSR-resident?

Wasn't there the "POWER" command in MS-DOS for that? Not sure what features it actually had, though.
POWER.EXE was an APM thing it seems. Tandy 1000 definitely doesn't support APM!
I always forget to check the REAL retro computing search engine: Google groups.

Looks like "ScreenSaver 3" might do the trick...

SS3.zip from that folder seems to do the trick just fine. No neat effects or flying toasters but screen gets blanked just fine.
Also seems to blank Tandy 16-color graphics just fine.
