Without a board picture I just assume it is vapourware because that was common at the time. In fact of the cards I listed, I have pictures of all of them except the iXMicro TwinTurbo 128P8 which I have seen two mentions of in magazines of the era. If you want cards that should exist but we can find no trace of, we can start with something like the Trident 9783 or Trident 9685-1. I have cross-referenced a list of cards that are supposed to exist but I can't find trace of. Here are some more:

  • IGS IGA 1683
  • IGS CyberPro 2000A
  • IGS CyberPro 3000
  • IGS CyberPro 3000
  • Macronix MX86251
  • Avance Logic ALG2064
  • Chips&Technologies B68555
  • Cirrus Logic GD5432
  • Cirrus Logic GD5452
  • S3 86C866
  • S3 86C795
  • S3 86C360
  • S3 86C294

Do S3 Trios equipped with 4mb of vram count?

If it were equipped with VRAM it might, but that's plain DRAM and so not exactly uncomon.

Well I will list the chipsets that I am still trying to get for vgamuseum:

  • NetVision 2200i (Artist 3GA)

There are some fairly decent pics of that on this Portuguese auction site:

Also a good one of the front here:

Tbh, it looks like the 2500i without the RAM extension installed.

  • iXMicro TwinTurbo 128P8

Er... that's like the 128M8, but with DE15 VGA instead of DA15 Mac isn't it...? I have the sinking feeling I had one and gave it away a while back

Yeah sorry I should have said dram , my brain was thinking vram=video memory probably getting mixed up with modern gpus.

I was just wondering since most s3 trio 64 V2DXs seem to be 2mb affairs , though you do come across 4mb ones on occasion so I guess its not super uncommon enough to fit the bill.

It's possible yes that could have been one. iXMicro TwinTurbo made the 128P8 for the PC market. I haven't even seen pictures.
