Hi there,

I just got an ATI Radeon 8500 (HIS) 64MB AGP. I'm seeing some sort of "ghosting" or partial image doubled, not sure how to call it, please take a look at the attached screenshot/photo.
The same happens in DOS mode. I understand it's not a good idea doing pretty much anything over DVI in DOS, but I had to try.
Still, never saw anything like this with any of my other cards (mostly Nvidia). Just curious, what can cause it?

Interestingly enough, after installing the drivers, the issue in Windows is gone.
The desktop is totally fine, playing games is fine... Could it be colour related? With just the default VGA drivers, I believe it only displays 16 colours on the screen.

Interesting. Does your card have the Rage Theater chip? That IIRC is related to multi monitor output and could be working improperly unless initialized somehow..

I see... Yes, it seems it has that chip built-in, picture attached.
