You know. All those other links to AMD being broken and all.

Those are the ones I used!

6.2 for the newer cards. Older cards it gives you an older driver. All of them worked great under Windows 98 SE, I have no issues to report.

Given that gamecollector has linked to 4.1-4.3, I'll link to 4.7 and 5.9. Many of the links that you will find on other sites redirect to AMD's site (and do not work).

If you can locate the original filename from those other sites, however, you can cut and paste it into archive.org's search engine. The file may be archived. I think that's how I got these.

I got another angle / thought.

Often old games came with drivers on the CD. That might be worth looking into?

I have linked to all 4.x (5 total) and 5.x (2 total) Win9x Catalyst versions. Just read the topic from the start.
So - the case is closed.

So far, I have the following versions for Win98....

2,4 3,4 4,2 4,7 4,10 (1 or 10 ?) 5,2 5,9 and 6,2

Have not tested if they are what the link said that they are.
Any place I can upload?

VOGONSDrivers, though I'm sure SquallStrife would prefer the testing? 😀

Yeah, that's the thing. I need someone to test this, and verify that I have the right ones in the right folders. 😀

Is there a way to locate the Catalyst version number from looking at a specific file from the package?

For example, I have the original installation CD from a Sapphire Radeon 9600. The CD-ROM says that it is Catalyst 5.8.

When I right click on atiicdxx.dll, for example, the version # is 5.13.1061.

However, I have a couple of other ATI install CDs (from 9500 Pro and 9700 Pro AIW) that don't state the Catalyst version. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to get this info without installing the package.

Sadly I have to report otherwise... 5.9 and 6.2 + Radeon 9200SE + MS-5169 socket 7 + 98SE = instant hang on startup and sometimes screen blacked out. Not sure if this is a driver problem though, since this computer has many more problems including a misbehaving sound card, CD-ROM read errors, RAM slot failures, etc. The original S3 Savage4 works great in this machine, though.

I have an old ATI driver cd from 2001-2002 that has drivers for win 3.x, windows NT 4.0, win98, winME, w2k and winXP for early radeon cards I assume. I can't tell what driver version without actually installing and I am not using any that old ATI cards on my PCs right now.

Edit: It seems to have win9x ini files for R128pro, R8500, R9000 and R9700
