I have one question to the compatibility of these two VGA coolers from Arctic Cooling:

  • -Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 1
    -Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6

According to the specifications, they are both compatible with FX5700.

The NV Silencer 1 is also officially compatible with Geforce 4 Ti.

The NV Silencer 6 is also officially compatible with Geforce 6200 PCIe, 6600 PCIe and 6600GT PCIe versions.

For the question is:

Is it possible that NV Silencer 6 is also working on GF4 Ti, especially on the GF4 Ti4400/4600/4800 version?

Here is also a compatible list...

This is NV Silencer 1:

Looking at a sample TI4400, it has two different mounting systems, either two yellow screws, or four red screws:

Now take a look at the FX5700:

For me, the spacing of the yellow holes on FX5700 and Ti4400 look the same, so it should fit.

The two coolers don't look like they fit the same cards, but the GeForce4 may be compatible with both with its extra mounting holes.

The GFFX 5700 comes in a variety of different configurations it looks like, and the PCIe cards have extra holes similar to the above pic of a GF4.

@MrMateczko

Ok, thanks for your pictures. Seems that both coolers can fit on Geforce 4 Ti.

I've measured the two diagonal holes with ~80mm (3.1496 inch). Actually now, i have both cards, a FX5700 and a Ti4800SE.
(Cause the FX5700 is not of interest for me, i want to sell the Leadtek Winfast A360.)

Previously, i was thinking to mount the NV silencer 6 onto the FX5700. Now i have check both original coolers, they are both really loud.

But there seems to be only one problem - mounting the NV silencer 6 onto the GF4-Ti:

The chipset itself looks different between GF4-Ti and GF-FX5700.
The GF4- Ti has a wide chip with constant height. The FX5700 chip has a smaller chip which has more height.

It might be a problem with the 4 black "bumpers" on the copper plate.
I think, to cut them into half parts should solve this...

Anybody here, who knows something about the Arctic Cooling Accelero X1?

How can it be compared the X1 against the Silencer NV 5?

It's widely reviewed on the internet. Basically, it's big and it's good. Here's the back shot:

It's designed mainly for 6800/7800 PCI-E. Not sure about how it compares to the Silencer 5, but probably is slightly better, as it is a newer product.
