Do you love watching Clint Basinger's and Bisqwit's videos?

Yes on LGR, might have to check the other one out. Clint's videos are kind of responsible for re-kindling my interest in this stuff TBH, especially watching LGR Thrifts which was pretty much my every-weekend from 2002-2010.

I do also like both persons' videos.
Bisqwit's awesome programming skills do often scare me, though..

okay, I just checked out Bisquit's channel - not even 5 minutes in and I'm hooked - making NES Emulatiors, Duke Nukem 3D style engines, and whatnot in C++ for DOS.......time to break out my old copy of Borland Turbo C++ for DOS once the 486 is built!

I also have to give a shout-out of thanks to LGR for his 486 build. At the time I had been meaning to upgrade my Cyrix 486sldc-40 (386sx-30 equivalent) to run Doom and his build was just the inspiration I needed. After that was done I had the bug and I now have collected a range of vintage 486, Pentium 1, III, and even a K6 to tinker with. I am really grateful for the chance to look back at the beginnings of my own career in IT and my PC gaming past. This is just the time to dive into the hobby while this type of PC hardware is still affordable and available. Consoles and arcade games have gotten way out of hand so vintage computing is, for me, a near perfect "new/old" hobby.

I liked Clint's videos back when he was actually LAZY. Now all his videos seem to have standards and production quality. I miss the 480i videos and the ugly-as-sin chair.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

i don't watch lgr that often and i used to be accused on youtube for copying lgr (what)

Bisqwit though is very technically interesting. Engoo's 15-bit dithered spans took inspiration from his dither research
