I'm having some hard luck with finding drives for my i740 cards... Real 3D Starfighter PCI and Diamond MM Stealth II G460 Rev E. Tried the intel drivers. No luck. Tried about 5 different Diamond drivers. Gives a Dr. Watson on boot. Can't even get 16bit color working. Anyone recommend a particular driver?

Have you tried anything from this?

I know there are 4-6 different sets of i740 drivers in that archive so it's worth a shot to try, then again it's hard to tell if you've tried it already; maybe try temporarily using a newer Windows version (like XP or Server 2k3) to see if the included MS drivers work, then check the hardware ID to see if there's a driver that matches the ID of your card and works with the Windows version you intend on using (this guide can help if you haven't done that before).

I don't exactly have experience with i740 cards so I can't think of anything else ATM.

The drivers for the Real3D Starfighter i740 PCI are different from the AGP models as Putas mentioned.

I've tested my PCI i740 card in Win9x using these:

http://www.video-drivers.com/drivers/45/45424.htm

For the AGP models either from Real3D, Diamond and others (some prototypes require specific versions) I was able to use this driver for testing:

Good luck,

I still have my Driver CD-ROM from my Diamond Stealth II G460 AGP from 1999. I'm sure I could create an ISO you could burn. The question is how to get it to you.

I'm been having a lot of trouble with older PCI/AGP cards, and frankly, I think its because I'm using a newer P4 universal AGP board (P4S533 in AGP 1x/2x mode) for my main PCI/AGP testing platform. I'm probably going to switch to a 440BX for testing first generation 3D and older devices. I wonder if 440BX can boot ISA video cards as well?

Btw, thanks for all the suggestions. The first place I looked was vogonsdrivers. I'm going to try some of the above on a 440BX and maybe upload some of the stuff that works. As for getting an ISO, you can share via OneDrive/GoogleDrive/WhateverDrive or upload to vogonsdrivers.
