Ok, that's new to me, but what is the best option in terms of beauty and most stable 60fps.

1. 3dfx-glide 1024x768 without AA
2. 3dfx-glide 640x480 with 4xAA
3. Opengl 1024x768 S3TC without AA
4. Opengl 640x480 S3TC with 4xAA

Currently I am on 2 because with 1 and 4xAA is too slow.

VSA100 drivers are capable to force 32-bit color in Glide, just like wrappers or emulators.

No Glide games can actually use this. The official Glide specification 2.x and 3.x released had never included support for 32-bit color and high-resolution texture. They can only be used by 3Dfx OpenGL 1.1 ICD for OpenGL games. The Glide 3.x extensions for 32-bit color and high-resolution texture were poorly documented or perhaps no one ever cared then because Glide was on its last leg.

Best way would be not to bother with AA gimmick at all. Using or not S3TC textures (when it comes to Unreal titles) should be personal preference. Personally I don't like them that much, because they're jarringly in contrast with unmodified textures.

It's a driver override and it just works.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
