Last weekend I finished a Windows ME build but I'm having a heck of a time finding a DX9 installer that will work. I get odd failures, I think the ones I've tried are built for later versions of Windows. I was able to update the DX8.1 but so far no farther.
Can anyone suggest a DX9 installer for ME? Something that's known to work?
I use the December 2006 redistributable from here for 98/ME/2000: https://3dfxarchive.com/directx.htm
It looks like there are a couple later versions that will work with ME, but they'll be pretty minor updates.

This worked perfect, thanks. I had actually tried newer versions from that site, based on information on what was the 'last' DX installer to run on ME, but they didn't work. I figured it was a matter of finding an installer that was known to work and I was right. Thank you very much. 😀
