6.3 Alpha Chrome
After VIA acquired S3, it began to revise Savage2000 and named it Alpha Chrome. Alpha chrome is a mobile version, which is used in a small number of applications on laptop computers.

As you can see from the picture below, the chip is Alpha Chrome, the chip date is 0229 weeks, and the PCB date is 0228 weeks, both of which are produced after the release date of Savage XP.

Awesome thread! That PCI Geforce 256 prototype is so cool! Aside from the Voodoo 5 5500 PCI, that would have been the very last flagship graphics card released in a PCI version as far as I can figure. Certainly the last that was nvidia based.

Also, the Radeon 256 MAXX and early Geforce 256 engineering sample (the long card) are very neat.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

The information I found shows:
Matrox G550 T & L engine is not complete.
Blade XP also seems to support Hardware T & L, but Trident turned this feature off in Driver.
Cyberblade XP support Hardware T & L.

Are there tests of Cyberblade XP?
AFAIK desktop and mobile chips alike only had partial TnL, to be dynamically balanced with CPU.

Since I broke the XGI Volari Duo V8 ENGINEERING SAMPLE, I will never test the ENGINEERING SAMPLE again, so I ca n’t bear to test this SB.
So to say that T's first-generation GPU is XP series, is it XP5?
