Note there is no Orientation Notch! the Molex Connectors are much more expensive then the simple ones, about 3x times the price.
But this is no problem it will fit either orientation.

There some previous Designs from other Guys but i disliked their Blue or Black Color, it just does not match the 3Dfx Design.

I wanted to show it off, as 3Dfx Cable making requires special Pliers or a vise this way its much easier.

I hope you guys like it 😀

ordering custom PCBs and soldering up 2 34pin headers is easier than clamping some IDC connectors in a vise? really? 🤣 who doesn't own a vise anyway?

but I do like your design with the 3dfx silk

Cool.

Does orientation actually matter? Isn't it just a straight through connection?

No.
There are 4 twisted links but they are centered (pins 16-19).

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

A legit version, also extra width version to span across one PCI Slot.

This is brilliant. I wouldn't mind one of each size. It was actually more time consuming to make my own cable than I thought it would be. It is also pretty easy for one of the wires in the cable assembly not to crimp properly. It took me a few tries to get a stubborn wire to properly seat, which resulted in a video column not displaying properly.

Plan your life wisely, you'll be dead before you know it.

Yes i had same issue with floppy cable, it was not reliable for me.

In few days/weeks i get some PCBs.
Lets see how they look.
Was not so happy with the 3Dfx Printing of Aisler, it did not have full density and white color was partly uneven thick.

What about something like this?

What you have looks better btw.
But if you found a 34 pin version of this you could probably order or make it easier.

Would look cool in rainbow ribbon

You already know that this has too many pins but it also has the wrong gender (male) since it seems to be designed to join two regular IDE cables (with female connectors) into one. It also doesn't have the twist in the middle.
I don't think the same wiring used in SLI was used for anything else so I don't think you can find cables made for any other purpose that'll just work as SLI cables without modifications. 🙁
They're relatively easy to make from a floppy cable though and I'm totally in favour of you making a rainbow cable and posting the results here.😁👌

ah so it's possible to make something similar. nice :p custom wiring needed though.

speaking of rainbow I now want some rainbow ide cables 🤣

I built a gaming system for a friend back in my Jr. Year of high school probably 04ish and it had rounded ide cables that were very rainbow like every single wire was a different color in a clear sleeve.
