Hey guys, after many years of not having a running Pentium 2/3, I was lucky to find a coppermine Pentium 3 motherboard in the scrap yard today and have it up and running. However.. while going through my old parts I've discovered my voodoo 3 seems to have half died (it's displaying vertical jailbars) and I've found one burnt component on it. So yeah.. just wonder what it is so I can repalce it. It's the part marked in red on this random picture. Hopefully replacing this will fix it.

That's a resettable fuse, providing 5V to the VGA connector. You can replace it with a 100mA fuse.

Ah!, if it's a fuse then that part is still working. Must have just seen some action before and that's why it's gone brownish. Maybe the Voodoos chip needs a reflow. It displays text perfectly but anything graphical has jail bars. I haven't tried it in glide yet, maybe that works.. I never did use it in 2d back in the day. I always used the ET6000 as the 2d card.
