There is no SP4 for windows XP and is not safe, (possible malware). SP3 is the current service pack at XP's EOL.

Reinstall and apply SP2 for resource constrained hardware or SP3.

Took and did a fresh reinstall of Windows XP Home. Installed all the drivers, SP4 and then reinstalled 3DMark03 without any of the patches. Opened the program and it got to the settings. So I closed the program and installed the V360 patch and then it would freeze on the program loading screen. I uninstalled it, restarted, reinstalled the normal version and it is now just freezing. I installed 3DMark05 and 06 and they are both freezing.... I have no clue what is going on... anyone have any ideas?

What Driver did you use ?

What is SP4 ?

I think it is either the ATI cards or drivers. I used the ATI driver ISO that was linked my other post.
I had got a Radeon HD 4890 and installed it into my C2D system and got the ATI driver right from MSI's website and I have the same issue. If I add the -nosysteminfo to 05 and 06 they run fine, but 03 still freezes and won't load.

Cheers,

There is nothing wrong with unofficial SP4 for XP. It is completely safe and I have been using it for XP for years on different systems and reinstalls, as well as many other people too.

The ISO I linked works perfect with HD3/4xxx ATI Series, maybe something other is going on. I run 3450 AGP and 4650 just fine with it. Also on Athlon XP.

Do you run 4 Memory Sticks on K8N Neo 2 ?
Then try reduce to 333 MHz RAM Speed.
It does not like all banks populated with 400Mhz RAM.

It seems SP4 adds stuff to XP never intended for it… I would not use it for a gaming rig.
Just go 7 32bit if you need those enhancements then 😑for good compatibility and disable visual design.
