Hello everybody! This is my first posting and my poor english comes directly from a dictionary, so please be lenient... My concern:

I'm using XPSP3 + Firefox 52.9 for streaming. Until recently https://www.zdf.de/live-tv (indispensable for soccer) worked fine. Now i get the error "no format supported". VLC fails, too. I could not find out what format exactly they support, but for sure they discontinued flash. On their "not-our-problem-page" they teach me, that i need html5 and / or a new computer.

Google tells me that i need h.265 codec, so i installed x265 (wp.xin.at/x265-for-winxp-and-winxp-x64) in firefox directory - no change (how can i proof that it's working at all?).
I also tried media.player.codec.pack.plus.v4.5.5.setup.exe from chip.de. This seems to be nothing but the latest VLC for playing BlueRay files.
I did not update MediaPlayer 9 to 11, because MP is bloatware and they don't supply codecs.

Ah, not to forget: In Firefox-addons-plugins there is a standard entry "h.264 videocodec by cisco will be installed shortly". But nothing happens; probably the link is outdated. Would i need this?

I need to solve this issue by June 2022 - Soccer-World-Cup! Any hint - other than buying a TV - would be greatly appreciated!

Check the debug info on a machine that can stream to see what codec it uses.

These may work:

https://rtfreesoft.blogspot.com/search/label/browser
KM-Goanna
NM28XP (likely the best for HTML5)
Serpent/UXP

If not ask in the thread on MSFN but read the second post first

OMG! Great!
I unpacked palemoon-28.10.4a1.win32-git-20210731-61f3c7277-uxp-620374316-xpmod.7z
... entered the TV-link and ... it worked instantaneous!
Thank you very much!

P.S: I tried MyPal, a fork of palemoon, it didn't work..
Funny: The sound is strangely disorted, the news-lady sounded somehow like darth vader ...

Thanks again!

Update for other users: I've tried some more html5-streaming with browsers from the link above.

NewMoon: The sound is always disorted, like listening to a 45 RPM-vinyl-disk at 10 RPM = best for silent movies.
K-melon/Goana (file KM76.4.4-Goanna-20210731.7z): Does not stream at all.
Serpent/Basilisk (file basilisk52-g4.8.win32-git-20210717-f481d07-uxp-c198ef11b-xpmod-ia32.7z): Works fine, clean sound. The screen is a little jerky, even at low data-rates (medium-quality = 11MB / min)
