Hi,
I recently picked a Video Seven EGA/VGA Video card with a Cirrus Logic GD410/420 chipset from a trashed computer. Unfortunately someone seems to have removed the VGA BIOS before.

Does anyone of you know a place to find VGA BIOS ROM dumps or maybe even owns such a card and could create a ROM dump?
I would really love to save that little card and revive it!

The card looks pretty similar than the one in this topic Video Seven VEGA VGA Demo Board and also very similar to the one found on http://www.vgamuseum.info/index.php/cpu/item/ … ic-cl-gd410-420.

Thanks already very much!

I've got one Video Seven like this but the layout is a bit different and the video chips are the models GD510/GD520. I can dump the VGA BIOS but don't know if it could work with your model 😖

ViTi95, thank you very much for your offer! Propbably it won't work if it's not the right chipset, so it's likely not worth trying to make the dump.
However, due to more intensive research of what a required VGA BIOS version could be (version 435-0016-47 seems to be right), I finally stumbled upon a page with some VGA card BIOS dumps: http://minuszerodegrees.net/rom/rom.htm
Burning that image on a 27C256 EEPROM finally brought the card back to live!! 😀
(...however the VGA quality is still rather poor and the card might need a proper cleaning and maybe some other fixes...)

So if you are looking for VGA BIOS dumps, that page is definitely worth checking out!
