So, the last AMD GPUs with Windows XP drivers were the HD 7XXX series, but I've run into an issue particularly with Lionhead Studio's 'The Movies'. It renders all black on both the HD 7950 and HD 7870 I tested. The game infact runs, I hear sound, I can blindly mash buttons and get a response even, but the output is all black. I've not seen this with other software but the amount of software I've tested is very small. I tried latest and earliest drivers, no change. The only fix has been 'Replace it with an HD 6850'. For Windows XP, I'm sure you're like 'HD 6850 should be crazy fast for XP Gaming'. This is true, but this particular retro PC also dual boots to Win10 where I use it for source ports of classic games and I wanted the HD 7000 series because that offers Vulcan support where as the HD 6000 series does not. (The new Quake remaster defaults to Vulcan for example)

Has anyone else run into a similar issue and found a fix?
