Hey all,

Came across this Dynagrafx/3D card in a box of random video cards. Can't find much info on it, although it does appear to share a connection with the Diamond Edge. 4mb memory, as well as gameport connector, audio out, wavetable (?) header and a Yamaha chip in what looks to be the audio circuit.

Anyone have info on this specimen? I'd love to find some drivers as well.

Thanks!

The NVASGP chip is (probably) a copy of the Yamaha YMF289B-S FM Chip. https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/v … TC/YMF289B.html
The YMF289 is a slightly newer low power variantion of the classic YMF262 FM chip.
Yamaha YAC-516 is the Digital to Analog converter (DAC) for the YMF289B. https://datasheetspdf.com/pdf-file/285348/ETC/YAC516/1

Based on the datecodes of the chips on your card (1996) it is most likely a 1:1 copy of the YMF289B ... Yamahas patents on the FM Synthesis expired around 1995 and after that many clones simply used yamahas original implementation.
