Do these exist? I've found several that I thought would work, intended for XP. I can't get 7 to work with it though. I've been manually installing from the INF files in Device Manager.

I know there never would have been a driver made specifically for 7, but does anyone know if it's possible?

I'm using a Compaq Armada M700 laptop.

At a glance they seem only available for 32bit win7 -- https://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/downloa … SUBSYS_B1110E11

Thank you. However, while it did install, it doesn't work.

Device status: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.

I know the video chip is good, it worked well under XP. I'm trying to move to 7 for better compatibility with modern software though.

I finally found one that works.

If it helps anyone else, try this: https://www.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=59288

It didn't automatically detect the right driver in the extracted files, I had to browse for a driver manually in the folder and select the second "ATI RAGE MOBILITY-M/M1 AGP" option in the list. It warned that it can't verify it's the correct driver, but it worked.

EDIT: Scratch that... the 3D acceleration doesn't work.

I've never come across an older 3D chip so hard to get working in 7. Might have to go back to XP if I want games.
