Well if it is a driver problem then you should still be able to run tomb3dem from DOS.
Going from Voodoo 2 to Voodoo 1 on my win98se test install required doing this: Uninstalling the Voodoo 2 driver, manually clearing all files in the Windows directory that match the files in the V2 driver folder, clearing all 3Dfx registry entries, helped in my case. Then the Voodoo 1 drivers could be reinstalled and they no longer caused a crash. Alternatively just reinstall Windows

Before doing that can you point the registry entries? i want to try and clean things up.

If it doesn't run TOMB3DEM in DOS, it's broken and it won't work in Windows too.

Well there's surely some issue but i feel like it's something really weird but fixable, hell it could be a bios option for all i know, again any weird idea is welcome.

I'm slowly removing more and more lines and also re enabling tmus, ram etc.
Everything seems to work but textures look kinda pink.

On to the next mystery.
Pink screen.
For some reason all games etc. Have this color, otherwise the card works perfectly now.

Ok I did multiple tests, the card works with all kind of options enabled and it's fast, the pink color is the only problem, it doesn't go away.

Any idea? I was thinking that maybe the VGA connector lost connection on some pin because the problem is present even when I connect the VGA cable directly to the voodoo.

Deox it. Check continuity.

I will do that, but from the look of it, would you say that the issue is the video output?

Got that because of a bit of rust and dirt.
At this point you just try stuff. I call it "entering the tunnel of boredom" as it is tedious.
You got pretty far and I'm positive it'll be solved.

My worries have been confirmed, it's not the vga connector, continuity is perfect, traces are perfect and the cables are new, unless the voodoo 1 needed some special cable i don't understand what is the cause for this issue.

Damn it, by disabling texture mapping the problem isn't present anymore.
Messed up tmus?

I tried them all, i can't get the textures to work correctly, it's either the TMU or the ram of the TMU, if anybody wants to chime in you are welcome.

Or none of these, but connections from TMU to VRAM or FBI.

If there's a way to diagnose i'm happy to try.

You've already used MOJO and other software diagnostics, now check for broken solder joints on the chips pins.

I did multiple times, I'm 99% sure that every single trace and solder is perfect, the card is structurally ok.
What pisses me off is the fact that it looks like a color channel corruption in the textures , only that.

I bought another V1 this one works perfectly and I noticed one thing, dungeon keeper 1 in d3d blood and works perfectly on the new V1 while on the previous one it gives me an error of insufficient memory.

I guess the memory is the culprit.
