I have Matrox G400 feaphic card what built with circuit board as G400 max with fan connector, and 5ns ram, with passive cooler.
I have defect G400 max with its own cooler and fan.
How can i mod the g400 to g400 max?
Just a bios flashing, or need change maybe an oscillator ?
I try with matrox tuning utility and see gpu and ram clock is divided from 250mhz quarts oscillator.
I guess the utility shows so called base "clock" from which particular clock domains are derrived. And the base value is from bios, so flashing it would be the way.
Try MGATweak. I used it for years to overclock my G400.

You can fairly easily do a BIOS overclock as well. These cards use text-based variable configuration called "pins" that you flash to the card to set various things including the clock speeds. I suggest using software overclocking instead because you're less likely to run into problems like a corrupted BIOS, non-working config, etc.

Or when i mod pins, that always wotking, after driver load?
