Hello

My laptop has only around 50kB continuous memory for setting frame page when loading drivers for PCMCIA cards.
I wonder if there are any programs/drivers can set EMS memory requiring less than 64kB (for example 32kB) to set frame page. Currently EMM386 cannot set frame page and cannot use EMS momory.

Thanks.

All you can do is move things around to get a 64k segment

This might work with some specific EMS 4.0 drivers/applications. The more common EMS 3.2 specification requires the page frame to have 64KB. Any EMS 4.0 setup that is compatible with EMS 3.2 also provides at least a continous 64KB frame, but might be able to map further pages as well. Most DOS applications that use EMS rely on a classic EMS 3.2 page frame being able to map 4 pages of 16KB each at the same time, and will fail to work properly if no EMS 3.2 page frame is present.
