Whenever I beat the Duke Caribbean: Life's a Beach boss, DOSBox quits with the following message:

1Exit to error: Illegal descriptor type 0 for int 8

Does anyone know what's causing this?

I'm using an unofficial patch that fixes an issue with the ¥ character, but I'm not sure if it makes a difference. Any advice would be appreciated.

Please post questions related to DOSBox in the DOSBox area of the forum.

FYI, the special character used in the addon is supported in SVN, so maybe try an SVN build where no workaround is needed. Also, there are numerous other changes and fixes in SVN which might (or might not) help with the specific problem you're encountering.

Have you only tried the crashing part of the game when loading/restoring a saved position? If so, please try again without using that saved position.
