Getting "No Adlib board present in system" when trying to run Strike Eagle II; system is a 66Mhz DX2 with a SB Pro 2. Any ideas? Thanks!

Gave that a shot and still get the same error. 🙁

I also see in the readme of that zip there is a MT-32 update for some MP games; any idea of where to find that?

Adlib uses neither interrupts nor DMA. More likely there are delay loops inside the Adlib detection code that are machine-speed dependent. Have you tried disabling your L1 cache?

Yea that game runs on a 386.

As above, hit the turbo button and / or disable the caches in the BIOS,

Tried all options with no success. Any other ideas?

System has a Music Quest Midi card @ 330, SBP2.0, uninitialized GUS (no drivers installed), 16mb FPM running a 66Mhz DX2.

Getting really weird issues now; the game crashes within a few seconds of starting a mission; I was able to get sound by installing the "Operation Desert Storm Scenario Disk" and choosing "Roland" for my MT-32. I've tried turbo button, disabling caches, etc, etc. I don't believe I have any IRQ conflicts, so I'm not sure what the issue actually is.

I think its a problem with my floppies; I tried the install on another computer (p1/133) and it has the same issues, with the crashing and whatnot. Then, for the heck of it, I installed a SB16 (CT2900, I think) and I get the Adlib sound, but still crashes. I then installed the scenario disk and the "No Adlib" error comes back and still with the crashes. Guess I'm off to eBay to try and get another 3.5 copy. :\
