Hiya,
I've been trying to get Leisure Suit Larry 5 to run under DOSBox (both 0.58 and 0.61) with no luck.
It's the MS-DOS 5.25" VGA version.
The game installs fine enough and setting up the preferences for sound, graphics and pointing devices is no problem.
When I try to start the game I get a big white arrow (game cursor?) and after a few seconds a white label with the "Resource type mismatch".
The RESOURCE.CFG looks like follows:
videoDrv = VGA320.DRV
soundDrv = MTBLAST.DRV 220
joyDrv = NO
kbdDrv = IBMKBD.DRV
mouseDrv = STDMOUSE.DRV
memoryDrv = ARM.DRV
minHunk = 240k
language = 1
This is the VGA-only version, so the only two video drivers available are VGA320.DRV and VGA320BW.DRV, the latter being for Greyscale 256 color VGA. I suspect it has got to do with the graphics driver in some way.
Im on a P4-1800mhz, ASUS Geforce 3 64mb, system.
Are there any known issues with this game and version?
Any input at all is greatly valued.
Thanks in advance,
Jens
