I have wondered if it was possible to create a hard drive conversion of any of the AGI1 versions of these games (KQ, KQ2, BC). It does not sound like it is possible absent a true reverse engineering.

the one missing piece of the puzzle I never figured out was how the embedded interpreter knew whats sector/track/head each file was at. if one had that, we could extract everything and have it working under dos without being a booter.
